Project leaders discussed skills and strategies necessary for the local economy in the future, addressing issues like transportation, child care, workforce retraining and lack of internet access. They also stressed the importance of retaining local talent and increasing support for underserved communities.
Dr. Sheree Utash, President of WSU Tech, said education and training lifts up lives.
The work was a collaboration between the Greater Wichita Partnership, the Kansas Department of Commerce, Work force Alliance of South-Central Kansas, the City of Wichita and Sedgwick County.
