Wichita leaders meet to discuss future collaborations

The Wichita City Council, the Sedgwick County Commission and the Wichita School Board gathered Tuesday for a tri-governmental meeting.

In a follow up to a June 4 town hall, the agencies met to discuss opportunities to enhance collaboration of shared services.

The conversation covered topics like family and community well-being, mental health and social services, FutureReady centers for career placement, and crime prevention and reduction.

Wichita Mayor Lily Wu said the work ahead would not be easy.

The three plan future meetings to continue the conversation.
