Police arrested a 27-year-old Wichita man Saturday for aggravated kidnapping and child abuse involving an 8-year-old girl in the western part of the city.
Just after 11:20 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 2800 block of W. Central. The caller told police that the girl had left home and was walking in the 600 block of North Gordon when a man approached her and grabbed her. The girl was able to break free and run to her grandparents' location, and they called 911.
Officers arrived quickly and found the suspect near North Gordon and detained him without incident.
Detectives with the Exploited and Missing Child Unit investigated. Tanner Warren was arrested and booked into the Sedgwick County Jail.
