A 64-year-old woman who was stabbed on Saturday has died; a family member is charged with her murder.
24-year-old Isaiah Langkiet is charged with intentional and premeditated first-degree murder in the death of 64-year-old Elvira Langkiet. Wichita Police say the victim has died.
Isaiah Langkiet was initially booked Saturday afternoon for attempted second-degree murder, violation of a protection order and two counts of domestic battery.
Police responded just before 9 a.m. to the report of a cutting in the 800 block of South Fern, near Kellogg and Seneca. WPD Officer Rick Pena said arriving officers contacted and arrested a 24-year-old man who allegedly stabbed a 64-year-old family member and caused serious injuries to another person.
