At approximately 8:35 p.m. Sunday, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Lincoln and Sylvan Street. When they arrived, they found the victim unconscious and not breathing. The man was pronounced dead by EMS.

Police say the victim was walking eastbound on the south side of Lincoln in the roadway. That’s when he was struck by a vehicle driven by a 32-year-old man from Andover who was also traveling eastbound on Lincoln. Currently, neither speed nor impairment are believed to be contributing factors to the collision.

The victim's name has not been released. The investigation is ongoing. This is the 24th fatality collision in the city for 2023.
