An off-duty Wichita Police Officers was arrested early Monday morning, by the Newton Police Department.
The officer, identified as Louis Hebert, was arrested and booked into the Harvey County Jail on charges of DUI and possession of a firearm while intoxicated.
He has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of a criminal and internal investigation.
The Newton Police Department is investigating.
