Time is running out, if you want to share your input on the search for a new Wichita city manager. Robert Layton is retiring at year's end. Mayor Lily Wu tells KNSS News citizens can take a short survet at wichita.gov/managersearch. The deadline is Wednesday, October 8.
At Tuesday's meeting, the Wichita City Council will look at an agreement to pay for bridge inspections and repairs. Mayor Wu says "we have a lot of infrasturcture" and it's part of the capitol improvement program, a lot of it funded by local sales tax.
The council will look at paying for improvements for the police department, including protective equipment.
Wu commented during Mondays with the mayor on the Steve and Ted in the Morning Show on KNSS.
