While new permeant water restrictions are being implemented, the city of Wichita is getting creative with its own watering operations.
The city says they will be using water from public swimming pools to fill the ponds at MacDonald Golf Course.
Officials said it will help the ponds retention and provide a supplement water source for irrigating the golf course.
However, some residents are raising questions about how chlorine and other pool chemicals might impact the grass if it is used to water the golf course.
