There have been two homicides in two days in Wichita.
After a murder early Sunday in the Old Town district downtown, police are now investigating a deadly shooting in the southeast part of town.
It happened Monday at about 8:00 a.m. in the 5200 block of E. Gilbert, in the neighborhood southeast of Kellogg & Oliver.
A vicitm, an approximately 40-year-old man, was hospitalized in critical condition with a gunshot wound, and later died.
Police say the suspects entered the home and shot the man. Investigators believe there were two other people in the house at the time, and they are being interviewed by police trying to get information on possible suspects.
Detectives are looking for two men in dark clothing who may be connected to the shooting; they left the scene in a black car, driving away to the south in an alley.
