Police are investigating a double-shooting that fatally injured a 38-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man in the southeast part of Wichita.
On Sunday afternoon, officers responded to a shooting call at a home in the 2100 block of S. Erie, in a neighborhood to the southwest of Mt. Vernon & Hillside. Officers located the two victims who had been shot; both were dead on the scene.
The investigation revealed a resident of the home found the victims shot and called the police.
This was not a random incident, and is believed to involve illegal and dangerous drugs. The victims were known to frequent the home.
