Wichita Police have identified the victim of Friday's hit and run shooting in northeast Wichita.
Merrill Rabus, 54, was killed as he was riding his bicycle at the intersection of 13th Street North and Oliver. He was struck by a vehicle driven by Charity Blackmon, 31. Police say Blackmon then got out of her vehicle and shot Rabus with a handgun.
She fled the scene but was eventually arrested and booked into the Sedgwick County jail for first degree murder and other charges.
This case will be presented to the Sedgwick County District Attorney's Office.
