The Wichita City Council will hold a workshop Tuesday, focusing on the new water treatment plant under construction in northwest Wichita. Mayor Brandon Whipple tells KNSS News the council will "go over the timeline"and make sure the financing is on target. The initial price tag of the project was 573 million dollars. The plant will pump an estimated 120 million gallons of water a day when it's completed.
The pandemic numbers look good and summer's just around the corner. Mayor Whipple says it's time "to get out there and have fun", "spend some money", and support local businesses during the recovery.
Whipple commented during Mondays with the Mayor on the Steve and Ted in the Morning Show on KNSS.
