Police have arrested a second suspect in a Wichita homicide. It began around Noon Thursday with a police chance that ended in a stand-off near Harry and Oliver.
31-year-old Saul Valenciana, is a suspect in the death of 41-year-old Brent Boone, whose body was found earlier this month in Sumner County. Police say a Crime Stoppers tip led them to the suspects' vehicle near Harry and Bluffview. Believing the suspect was inside, officers gave chase which ended with the vehicle hitting a power pole at Harry and Pinecrest.
Wichita Police say the driver, who was not Valenciana, told officers where he could be found. Negotiators were able to get Valenciana to peacefully surrender. No injuries were reported.
An alleged accomplice in Boone's death, 19-year-old Teyha Turner has already made her first appearance and is being held on $1 million-dollar bond for first-degree murder.
