Actor Nick Searcy was in Washington, D.C. on January 6, 2021 and produced a film about the event. He shared his experiences with The Marc Cox Morning Show.
"I saw people praying and singing hymns, and I saw hundreds of thousands of people, if not millions, and the media didn't show any of that," says Searcy about his desire to produce Capitol Punishment.
He also says he witnessed police officers helping people enter the Capitol.
"I saw with my own eyes, I saw police removing barricades and waving people in. And there's people in the film that testified that they went up to–On one side of the building, there was a huge battle going on. On the other side, people were just going up and seeing open doors," Searcy says. "And these two little old ladies that are in my film, when they walked up and asked the police if they could come in and the police said, 'Yes.'"
You may also know him from his roles in recent films like "The Shape of Water," "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri," and "Cast Away."

The award-winning actor teamed up with award-winning and inspiring filmmaker Chris Burgard for the documentary.
"Everything that we are being told by the media is a lie and Americans are being persecuted to support that lie. January 6th was years in the making and the threat to the survival of America as we know it has never been greater," states a press released from the documentary creators.
Searcy was also upset with recent statements from Senator Ted Cruz:
"He is adopting the language of Nancy Pelosi, and normalizing it," says Searcy.
