At least 4 dead, multiple people injured in shooting near Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa

There are at least four innocent people dead and multiple people have been injured from a shooting at a medical building nearby the Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, according to the Tulsa Police Department.

The Tulsa Police Department posted on Facebook at 5:57 p.m. CT that the active shooter was down, and to avoid the area.

"Earlier this afternoon, we responded to a call about a man armed with a rifle at the Natalie Building at St. Francis Hospital. This turned into an active shooter situation," Tulsa Police Department said.

During a press conference held outside the hospital at 7:15 p.m., Tulsa police along with city officials confirmed the shooter had died from a self-inflicted wound, making the total dead count of five people.

Police asked people in the area to go to the Memorial High School near LaFortune Park to reunite with family members and friends.

Tulsa officials say that the suspected gunman was targeting a specific doctor before he killed at least four people and then himself.
