The relationship between conservative-leaning Fox News and the White House’s current Democrat occupant has grown more tense lately, and Wednesday, President Joe Biden was highly critical of a question posed by the media outlet.

Fox News’s White House correspondent Peter Doocy, who recently returned to the beat from a paternity leave, engaged with the President on a familiar Republican topic: the President’s son Hunter Biden.

“There’s this testimony now where one of your son’s former business associates is claiming that you were on speakerphone a lot with them talking business,” Doocy said.

“I never talked business with anybody,” Biden answered before offering his own commentary. “And I knew you’d have a lousy question.”

“What makes it a lousy question,” Doocy asked, looking for clarification from Biden.

“Because it’s not true,” Biden answered.

Doocy’s question was referencing a newly-released transcript of Hunter Biden’s former business associate Devon Archer and his interview with the House Oversight Committee.

In the interview, Archer described witnessing phone calls were Hunter put his father on the phone with potential clients, though he said he never heard business discussed during those calls, and that the elder Biden spoke “generally about the weather and, you know, what it’s like in Norway or Paris or wherever he may be.”

The calls allegedly took place during Biden’s tenure as a U.S. Senator and while serving as Vice President under Barack Obama.

This is not the first bout of tension between Biden and Doocy.
The President was also caught on a hot microphone last year referring to Doocy as a “stupid son of a bitch.”
