Biden warns right-wing Americans that a gun wouldn't save them against the government

WASHINGTON (KNX) — President Joe Biden didn’t mince words when talking straight to his political opponents in Congress who have used harsh language condemning federal law enforcement in the weeks since a search warrant was served at Mar-a-Lago, the Florida resort owned by former President Donald Trump.

Biden scolded politicians over their rhetoric concerning the FBI and also spoke directly to “brave right-wing American” constituents about gun control, saying a gun wouldn’t realistically protect the average 2nd-Amendment advocate from the U.S. military.

“If you want to fight against a country, you need an F-15. You need something a little more than a gun. I'm not joking,” Biden said at the speech in Pennsylvania.

“Think about this. I have two shotguns at home. I am not opposed to guns, and I support the Second Amendment. But the Second Amendment, as one of the most conservative justices in history, Justice Scalia once wrote, ‘like most rights, the rights granted by the Second Amendment [are] not unlimited.’”

As for the members of Congress lashing out at the FBI, including South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham (who was specifically mentioned in Biden’s speech), the President admonished them for using threatening language that could potentially put law enforcement officers in danger.

“The idea you turn on a television and see senior senators and congressmen saying, ‘If such and such happens, there’ll be blood in the street.’ Where the hell are we?” he asked. “It’s sickening to see the new attacks on the FBI. Threatening the lives of law enforcement agents and their families for simply carrying out the law and doing their job.”
