Several new features could soon be coming to Twitter as CEO Elon Musk appeared to sign off on a request to bring back livestreaming to the app in a recent tweet.
“Bring back Twitter streaming,” Jack Posobiec requested in a tweet on Tuesday afternoon.
Musk offered his approval to the request, saying simply, “Coming.”
Other features that Posobiec said Twitter should offer in order to become the “greatest video platform in the universe” included “Twitter Live apps for Roku, Fire, Apple TV, etc,” he tweeted.
Musk has been vocal about his push for featuring videos on his app, saying that it was one of the most profitable forms of media.
Since his takeover in October of last year, Twitter has offered a plethora of new services like Twitter Blue and paid verification. Most recently, he began rolling out plans for a pay-per-article service for users.
The feature would allow media publishers to sell their stories to people one by one, allowing consumers to save money on pricey monthly subscriptions.
The billionaire said that the upcoming change, expected sometime this month, will be a “major win-win for both media orgs & the public.”
As for the livestreaming feature, Musk did not specify when users could expect its return to the platform.
