They say people should respect their elders, but sadly that’s a task many forget far too often. Luckily, one man has continued to do so, coming up with an inventive way to stay in touch with his grandmother. The man recently went viral after sharing the telegraph machine he created so he and all his relatives could stay in touch with their grandmother.
Manuel Lucio Dallo of Spain recently showed off his new “yayagram” which uses a switchboard to deliver messages between his grandmother and all her grandchildren. “Most of the grandchildren live outside of Burgos and because of covid movement restrictions they can’t visit us and her,” said Dallo. To send a message, all his grandmother has to do is plug in the chord by a name, and talk into the microphone.
Messages to the grandchildren get sent directly to their phone, while messages the other way are printed out for the hard of hearing grandmother, according to The Verge. Thanks to this new machine, Dallo is being called grandson of the year by many. Maybe his telegraph will one day allow others to contact their grandparents as well.
