40 seniors at Comfort High School, which amounts to half of the school's graduating class, have been suspended from school after what parents are calling a "harmless" senior prank.
The group of students "forked" the football field, meaning they placed hundreds of plastic forks in the dirt of the field. An easy cleanup, but incredibly tedious to do so.
However, Comfort school officials didn't think the prank was so "harmless," especially since some students ended up entering the school and carried the prank inside.
Hope Jay, the parent of two Comfort High School seniors, told News 4 San Antonio, "For the most part, there were balloons, there was a deer that went crooked on the wall, there was some saran wrap, there's been no damage, no destruction, no graffiti, no defacing of property, and no police reports."
Among the students getting suspended includes the valedictorian, salutatorian, and other members of the top 10%.
When reached for comment, Comfort High School Principal Darren William and Comfort Independent School District Superintendent Tanya Monroe said they would "not discuss disciplinary actions of the students or any details about possible damage done."
