Ahead of National Plan For Vacation Day on Tuesday, Jan. 25, some hotels and resorts have announced special deals to help people celebrate taking a break from work.
The U.S. Travel Association coordinates the day to help push Americans to utilize and plan for their time off and help communities who rely on the vacation industry around the country.
The agency shared that over 7,000 participating organizations are helping Americans plan their time off with promos and donations.
"Happily, inspiring vacation planning doesn't begin and end on Jan. 25," the agency said on its website. "It's something that can be done throughout the year."
Of the deals available, Omni Hotels and Resorts is offering specials at more than 50 properties. Those properties include the Omni Mount Washington Resort, The Omni Barton Creek Hotel & Resort, and the Omni Amelia Island Resort.
If a stay is booked at any Omni Hotel or Resort on Jan. 25, Omni will donate five meals to local families through its Say Goodnight to Hunger Program.
The deals also feature a free room upgrade for the first 250 people who book on Jan. 25. Booking can be made on Omni's website here.
That means the deals are available for those who want to ski, golf, or sit on an oceanfront property and drink mimosas or just orange juice.
Other deals available include the Lotte Hotel Seattle, which is offering 25% off to any guest who books on Jan. 25. In addition, the Hotel Du Pont in Delaware is offering deals celebrating its 109th birthday.
Finally, the Wave Resort on the Jersey Shore is donating a percentage of all of its room bookings made on Jan. 25 to Monmouth Medical Center.
