A 54-year-old man in Indiana was apparently bored and looking for something to do this past Sunday night, so he stole a street sweeper.
And led the Richmond police on what might be the lowest-speed chase in history.
Sammy Allen stole the street sweeper from a construction site around 1:30 in the morning and proceeded to drive it through several people's yards. Police tried to stop Allen and the street sweeper using spike strips, but he was moving so slow he was able to just drive around them!
The chase finally ended when Allen drove the sweeper into a river, and tried to escape on foot. Unfortunately for him, he couldn't outrun a police dog and was taken down and into custody.
He was transferred to a local hospital to tend to some dog bites on his arm. Allen is facing charges of vehicle theft, resisting arrest, leaving the scene of an accident, and reckless driving, per FOX 59.
