Kanye West has continued to support antisemitic rhetoric throughout the last several months, and now a watchdog group has named him “Antisemite of the Year.”
West has received heavy criticism in recent months for antisemitic views and actions, which have included spending time with well-known Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes and when he praised Adolf Hitler while speaking on Alex Jones’ InfoWars show.
“I see good things about Hitler. I love everyone,” West said, speaking with Jones.
Now, the group has named him as one of the most dangerous individuals to Jewish people this year after he was named a finalist last month.
“Kanye West’s threats of violence, hateful conduct, and hate speech all led to him winning this year’s title,” the group said in its announcement.
Among other dangerous comments West has made include his repeated claims that Jewish people control the media and Hollywood.
This has resulted in several brands cutting ties with the rapper, including his deal with Adidas for his Yeezy brand apparel.
West also saw his Twitter account suspended just days after having it restored by new Twitter CEO Elon Musk. The account was first suspended when he said he wanted to go to war with Jewish people. The second suspension came after he tweeted an image of the Star of David intertwined with a swastika.
“Despite losing the vast majority of his fortune, being booted from social media and ostracized from his social circles, West continued spreading his antisemitism,” StopAntisemitism.org said in its announcement.
