Former President Donald Trump is continuing to go scorched Earth following his felony conviction, this time in his latest campaign email that says, “Haul out the Guillotine!”
Trump has ramped up his campaigning in recent weeks now that he isn’t forced to appear in New York City for his hush money trial. During his rallies and speeches, the former president has continued to push a sentiment of revenge, saying he would get back at those behind the trial, which he deemed political persecution.
“Remember when that Sicko Kathy Griffin made the rounds parading my BEHEADED head when I was President?! The radical-left CHEERED! Obama and Biden were SILENT! And the Fake News BLASTED it everywhere!” Trump’s email said. “The SAD and HORRIFIC TRUTH is that this is STILL the Sick Dream of every Trump-Deranged lunatic out there! And it’s not just me they want gone, THEY’RE REALLY COMING AFTER YOU!”
Further down in the email, Trump said his guilty verdict wasn’t making him flinch, arguing that his various legal troubles would not stop him. He did note that support from his voters “keeps the Trump Train in motion” and that they should “shout with your chest and say I’m voting Trump.”
Trump has previously mentioned the floodgates being opened should he win the 2024 election.
After accusing Biden of using the legal system to prosecute him, Trump has said that it is now fair game to go after political opponents.
While he famously refused to prosecute former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton after winning in 2016, he has since said he would use the legal system to go after his political adversaries.
