Fire crews were sent to investigate a lightning strike that hit an Okmulgee apartment complex and traveled through a vent into a residence.
What they found when they arrived was burn damage that showed the bolt from the heavens shot straight through the ceiling of an apartment and shattered a thankfully-unoccupied toilet.
The unit at the Oxford Apartments complex was set to be rented out the morning after the commode’s combustion.
