U.S. Olympic bobsled star Kaillie Humphries is publicly backing former President Donald Trump, saying she supports his stance on protecting women’s sports.

In an interview with Fox News Digital, Humphries said she is a Republican and confirmed she voted for Trump in 2024. She argued that policies aimed at keeping biological males out of women’s competitions are important for fairness in female athletics.

Humphries, who has won Olympic gold medals for both Canada and the United States, has been outspoken on the issue of transgender participation in women’s sports. She said she believes Trump’s approach aligns with her views on preserving opportunities for female athletes.

Her comments come amid ongoing national debate surrounding women’s sports and follow recent controversy involving Trump’s remarks about the U.S. men’s and women’s Olympic hockey teams.

Humphries remains one of the most decorated pilots in women’s bobsled history, uniquely earning Olympic titles while representing two different countries.
