On Friday, Quaker Oats announced that it would be recalling more than 40 different granola bars and cereal products because they could be contaminated with salmonella.

Affected products include the brand’s classic Chewy granola bar variety pack, the Chewy Dipps bars, the puffed and protein cereals, and the granola bars included in some Frito-Lays snack boxes, according to a notice posted by the United States Food and Drug Administration.

While the range of products being recalled is large, the FDA said, “Quaker has received no confirmed reports of illness” caused by the products affected.

Potentially contaminated products were sold in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, Guam, and Saipan. They have a “best by” date ranging until October 2024.

Customers who purchased any of the recalled products are advised to reach out to Quaker Oats via its recall website.

After confirming the purchase of the product, by asking consumers what they bought and how much they paid, as well as attaching a photo of the box or receipt, the company will work on compensating them.

Symptoms of salmonella include fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain, according to the FDA. Symptoms develop over the course of a week if not longer.

Those worried they may be experiencing symptoms of salmonella should contact their doctor or health professional immediately.
