Rapper Killer Mike was seen being walked out of the Grammy Awards on Sunday night in handcuffs, shortly after he won three awards for his music.

The scene was caught on camera by a reporter with The Hollywood Reporter. In the now-viral video, Mike can be seen being escorted out of Crypto.com Arena by police.

The Los Angeles Police Department posted on social media that the rapper was taken into custody because of a “physical altercation that occurred at the 700 block of Chick Hearn Court.”

He was then booked for misdemeanor battery but was “in the process of being released” as of Sunday night.

Killer Mike, also known as Michael Render, won the awards for Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance, and Best Rap Album for his self-titled 2023 album “Michael.”

During one of his acceptance speeches, he discussed how making music was always a dream for him as a child.

“I’m a Black man in America, and as a kid, I had a dream to become a part of music. And that 9-year-old is excitedly dancing inside of me right now,” he said.
