A new frozen treat called the Strawberry Shortcake McFlurry will be offered at McDonald’s in the U.S. next month, according to multiple reports.

This dessert is already offered at McDonald’s locations in Singapore, according to the company website. However, the U.S. version is expected to be a bit different.

Despite its name, the Singapore version does not contain shortcake. Instead, it features Oreo cookie bits.

“It’s a match made in heaven,” reads the menu item description. “A magical medley of sweet strawberry sauce, crunchy Oreo bits and vanilla soft-serve.”

A TikTok user who reviewed the McFlurry in Singapore last year said “the strawberry flavor is literally to die for,” and gave the dessert a “10 out of 10.”

According to People Magazine, McDonald’s confirmed that a strawberry shortcake flavor is headed to local McDonald’s restaurants April 12, with shortbread.

“McDonald's new Strawberry Shortcake McFlurry features our signature creamy vanilla soft serve, strawberry-flavored clusters and crispy, buttery shortbread cookies,” said a statement shared with the outlet.

McFlurry treats have been served at McDonald’s since 1995, when they were invented by franchisee Ron McLellan in New Brunskwick, Canada, according to CTV News. They are now served at McDonald’s locations around the world.

In the U.S., the Oreo McFlurry is a staple. recently, the regular Shamrock Shake and the Shamrock Shake Oreo McFlurry were offered in honor of St. Patrick’s Day, according to Today. As of Thursday, the U.S. menu included an Oreo and an M&M McFlurry.

Other countries have their own flavors, including Ireland’s Cadbury Crème Egg McFlurry and France’s Lotus Biscoff McFlurry, among others.
