NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Donald Trump and Melania Trump expressed their "deepest condolenscnes" following Thursday's twin suicide attacks outside Kabul's airport, which left at least 12 U.S. service member dead and dozens injured.
"Melania and I send our deepest condolences to the families of our brilliant and brave Service Members whose duty to the U.S.A. meant so much to them," the former president said in a statement. "Our thoughts are also with the families of the innocent civilians who died today in the savage Kabul attack."

Trump, who has been critical of the way the U.S. has withdrawn from the Taliban-controlled country, said the deaths were unnecessary, further adding to the pain.
"This tragedy should never have been allowed to happen, which makes our grief even deeper and more difficult to understand. May God Bless the U.S.A."
