Former President Donald Trump told donors present Thursday at a National Republican Senatorial Committee meeting in Palm Beach, Fla., “I’m not into golden showers.”

According to The Washington Post, the statement came unprompted from Trump. It was related to an unsubstantiated claim abut Trump and Moscow sex workers included in a dossier compiled by a person who claimed to be a former British Intelligence official that was published by BuzzFeed News in 2017.

Trump’s address to the crowd of donors and lobbyists at the event was one of the final events that evening. Event donors were offered a golf session with Jack Nicklaus and could also attend discussions about digital fundraising, foreign policy and infrastructure.

Attendees also saw a presentation on polling that demonstrated how Republicans could have a chance to take back a majority position in the Senate lost during the 2020 elections. Information about falling poll numbers for President Joe Biden was also shared.

Apart from his denial of enjoying golden showers, a sexual act involving urination, Trump called current Democrat Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Democrat Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer “maniacs.” He also said his one-term presidency was a fight for survival, particularly efforts to impeach him over an investigation into his ties with Russia.

“It was all phony s---, okay. All phony stuff,” he said of those efforts. That’s when Trump brought up the golden showers claim, adding that his wife, Melania Trump, also doesn’t believe it.

The day before the event, Trump sent an email to supporters that said Republicans “would not be voting” in 2022 or 2024 if “we don't solve the Presidential Election Fraud of 2020.”

Trump has made claims about 2020 presidential election fraud before it even took place, and has since continued to make claims about election fraud. No evidence has been found to support the claims.
