GOP candidates for US House received over six million more votes nationwide

In Tuesday's election, Republican candidates for the House of Representatives had received over six million more votes than Democrats nationwide.

According to the Cook Political Report, Republicans have won 50,113,534 votes, or 52.3% of the vote, compared to Democrats' 44,251,768, or 46.2% of the vote. Republicans lead by 6.1%, which is better than their average in “generic congressional ballot” polls.

The 2022 election had simular numbers as the 2010 "Tea Party" election where Republicans received 44,593,666 of the 86,784,957 total votes cast, or 51.3%. Republican victory margin was 6.5%, the same as it has been thus far in 2022, with Democrats receiving 38,854,459 votes, or 44.8% of the vote.
