A Nebraska man was apprehended by police in a Lincoln Home Depot parking lot after he used a skid loader to ram several vehicles and buildings.
The Lincoln Police Department told KOLN that local resident Samuel Peyrot, 36, allegedly transported the skid loader to a U-Stop, then got into the loader and proceeded to ram several nearby vehicles.
He then drove the loader to The Home Depot and inflicted damage on multiple vehicles there as well, including an LPD cruiser.
Peyrot allegedly rammed the cruiser with the responding officer still inside the vehicle.
The officer exited the cruiser and drew his gun, but no shots were fired and Peyrot was taken into custody.
Police say Peyrot’s employer is the owner of the skid loader.
Peyrot has been charged with criminal mischief, second-degree assault and second-degree assault on an officer.
