Jeff Blubaugh, who termed out as a Wichita City Council Member and former Goddard School Board Member has filed to run for Sedgwick County Commission District 2.
In a release he says his candidacy is backed with the endorsements of the Wichita Fraternal Order of Police as well as the Wichita Firefighters IAFF.
"Public Safety has always been my highest priority and I take these endorsements seriously not just for our First Responders but for the Community in which they serve. Wichita is still over 100 officers short and these positions needs to be filled as soon as possible to ensure our streets and communities are kept safe.
Recent news of Wichita Firefighters enduring life-threatening miscommunications with 911 Dispatchers needs to be addressed IMMEDIATELY."
