The Sedgwick County Commission met Thursday as the Board of Canvassers to review last week’s election results.
The kept 6,047 provisional ballots but denied 2,491.
Officials said that the majority of provisional ballots came from people who went to the wrong polling place or those who were not registered in Sedgwick County.
The Board of Canvassers will meet again on Monday once the provisional ballots are counted to certify the results.
