Looking for something to do this summer?
The Military Women’s Memorial has installed an inspiring new exhibit showcasing the art of veterans and their loved ones.
The Summer with the Arts display features paintings, illustrations, photography, and sculptures by more than 100 artists. Many of the eye-opening works feature the military experience, as interpreted by the artists, who are service members and their family.
Throughout this summer, the new exhibit will be accompanied by multimedia events designed to promote healing and unity through artistic expression.
The MWM gallery is at the gateway to Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia. Its museum provides an educational journey through women’s military history.
Hours are Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., and Sundays, noon – 5 p.m. The ‘Summer with the Arts’ is free to the public, but under COVID guidelines, tickets must be reserved in advance.
