Another 30-point game in the NBA for former WSU guard Fred VanVleet

Former Wichita State guard Fred VanVleet scored 33 points, leading the Toronto Raptors to a 124-113 win at Milwaukee; there were only 250 people in attendance in a 17,000-seat arena, becuase of COVID restricitons.

This was VanVleet's fifth 30-point game of the season; he also dished out seven assists.

The Raptors, in the #7 spot in the NBA's Eastern Conference standings, have won six of their past nine games.

In other NBA action:

*Brooklyn won on the road at Phoenix 128-124. Coming off the Nets bench for 28 minutes was former Wichita State Shocker Landry Shamet; he had three 3-pointers on his way to 13 points. Brooklyn now has a four-game winning streak, and is in the #2 spot in the Eastern Conference.

*The Los Angeles Lakers won on the road 112-104 at Minnesota. Coming off the Lakers bench as the 'Sixth Man' was former Kansas Jayhawk Markieff Morris, who made a trio of 3-pointers for his nine points. The Lakers, winners of eight of their past nine games, are the #2 team in the NBA.
