
The Wichita Thunder hockey team finished a four-game mini series at Kansas City on Sunday afternoon, shutting out the Mavericks 3-0 at Cable Dahmer Arena.
Goalie Evan Buitenhuis recorded his third career shutout, stopping all 30 shots in goal for Wichita. Patrik Parkkonen, Mathieu Gagnon and Beau Starrett each scored for the Thunder.
Wichita is 4-0 this season at KC, including back-to-back wins on Saturday & Sunday.
The Thunder remains in second place in the ECHL's Western Conference standings.
