Witt tripled in the first inning, doubled in the third and drilled a three-run homer to deep left-center in the fourth to get the hard part out of the way. He needed a single for the first cycle by a Royals player since George Brett in 1990 but was hit by a pitch and flew out to right in his final two at-bats.
