It was an increase in pressure by the Kansas City Chiefs defense and a more complete offense that led to KC evening up the season at 2-2 with a win over the Baltimore Ravens. It didn't start well for the Chief, Baltimore getting on the board first with a touchdown while KC could only answer with a FG.
But the Chiefs offense really got going in the second and the defense held the Ravens to a FG just before half. Harrison Butker added another FG and QB Patrick Mahomes threw touchdown passes to JuJu Smith-Schuster and Isiah Pacheco. And Kansas City went to the locker room with a 20-10 halftime lead.
Mahomes would throw 2 more touchdown passes in the second half. One to Tyquan Thornton in the 3rd quarter and another to Hollywood Brown in the 4th. Baltimore would get one TD with time running down, but the Chiefs wound up on top with the 37-20 victory.
A good week for Mahomes, 27yds and 4 touchdowns. But one worrying problems for KC is another missed FG from K Harrison Butker who has missed at least one kick every game so far this season. A little extra rest on tap for the Chiefs, next up is a trip to Florida for a Monday Night Football matchup with Jacksonville.
