Former K-State men's basketball coach is back in the Sweet 16 – again

Former Kansas State coach Dana Altman is back in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA men's basketball tournament, as head coach of the Oregon Ducks (22-6). Oregon advanced Monday, with a 95-80 win over 8th-ranked Iowa. Coach Altman has now led the Ducks into the Sweet 16 for the fifth time in the last nine tournaments.

In other news:

*There's only one team remaining from the Big 12 Conference in the tournament -- the 3rd-ranked Baylor Bears (24-2). The other half-dozen teams from the Big 12 were not able to make it to the second weekend of the tournament.

*#1-ranked Gonzaga remained undefeated, with a second round win over Oklahoma, 87-71. Former Wichita State guard Austin Reaves (sr.) had 27 points in the losing effort for the Sooners. OU is led by former Kansas State player & coach Lon Kruger.
