The Kansas City Chiefs are heading back to the Thanksgiving Day football spotlight for the first time in nearly two decades.

The Chiefs will face the Dallas Cowboys in inter-conference play on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday November 27th at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, at 3:30 p.m.

All Chiefs games are heard live in Wichita on 98.7 & 1330 KNSS, with play-by-play radio coverage from Mitch Holthus.

The Chiefs last played on Thanksgiving 19 years ago; the game will also feature the Cowboys’ traditional Thanksgiving halftime show, a holiday staple known for high-profile musical performances. The Cowboys have hosted a Thanksgiving Day game every year since 1966.

The Chiefs will be making their first visit to Dallas in eight years, making only their third visit to play the Cowboys in the last 30 years.

Less than a month later, Chiefs fans will get another holiday matchup, as KC will host the division-rival Denver Broncos on Christmas night at Arrowhead Stadium on Thursday, December 25th.

For Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, a Texas-native, this will be his first time facing the Cowboys in Texas. This will be Mahomes’ first career NFL start at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas — just a short drive from where he was raised.

In college playing for Texas Tech, Mahomes played three games in AT&T Stadium in Arlington, where the Red Raiders played their annual rivalry game vs. Baylor.
