Having worked with the Philadelphia Police Department for 25 years before to coming to Wichita, Sullivan is a Philadelphia Eagles fan.  So for the Superbowl he made a friendly wager with Sedgwick County Sheriff Jeff Easter who is a Chief's supporter.

As the Chiefs prevailed in their 38-35 win, overcoming a 10-point halftime deficit, Chief Sullivan paid off on his bet with the Sheriff and spent 15 minutes on Monday, wearing a Chiefs hat and standing at the corner of Central and Main, holding up a sign that read, “Chiefs Kingdom.”

Had the outcome of the game gone the other way, Sheriff Easter would have been required to stand on the same corner with a sign that read Fly Eagles Fly.
