The Kansas City Royals are on their hottest run of the season, extending their winning streak to eight games with an 11-7 victory over the Detroit Tigers on Sunday.

Nick Loftin and John Rave each hit home runs, while Kyle Isbel drove in three runs as Kansas City completed a three-game sweep of Detroit.

Isbel opened the scoring with a two-run single before Loftin launched a three-run homer to give the Royals a 5-1 lead. Vinnie Pasquantino and Salvador Perez added RBI doubles in the fifth, and Rave followed with a two-run homer that pushed Kansas City's advantage to 9-5.

Isbel and Loftin added RBI singles in the eighth.

The eight-game winning streak is Kansas City's longest since May 2024. The Royals also won their seventh straight home game, completing just the fourth undefeated homestand of at least seven games in franchise history.

Daniel Lynch IV allowed two runs over 4 1/3 innings, while John Schreiber earned his first win of the season.
