The University of Kansas' athletic department issued a statement Monday after Men's Basketball Head Coach Bill Self was hospitalized. The statement said Self was feeling ill and went to the hospital out of an abundance of caution. The 63-year-old missed post season games in 2023 due to a heart condition and procedures since to help treat blocked arteries, the most recent in July of 2025.
Reports indicate the Self did not travel to Boulder for Tuesday night's game against Colorado. In the statement the athletic department said that after getting IV fluids that Self was feeling better.
