LeBron James is heading to Philadelphia.
The NBA's all-time leading scorer has agreed to a two-year, $8 million contract with the Philadelphia 76ers. The deal includes a player option for the second season, giving James flexibility after the 2026-27 campaign.
The move ends James' eight-year run with the Los Angeles Lakers and sends the 41-year-old back to the Eastern Conference, where he spent the first 15 seasons of his NBA career with Cleveland and Miami.
James joins a 76ers team built around Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and offseason additions as Philadelphia looks to make another championship push. His arrival gives the Sixers one of the league's most experienced leaders while adding another future Hall of Famer to the roster.
The four-time NBA champion averaged 20.9 points, 7.2 assists and 6.1 rebounds last season. James has said his focus remains on competing for another title as he enters his 24th NBA season.
