Patrick Mahomes explains how impressed he was with Melvin Ingram's Chiefs debut

There was plenty of renewed optimism when the Chiefs made a deadline deal for veteran pass-rusher Melvin Ingram, and after an impressive debut in the win over Green Bay, the team's defensive outlook all of a sudden doesn't seem quite as gloomy. Andy Reid was complimentary of Ingram's performance, and during his weekly appearance on 610's The Drive, Patrick Mahomes echoed that sentiment.

"From everything I saw, he played really well," Mahomes said. "You could see that from a week of practice. Just a smart, savvy guy who still has the burst to go make plays happen. I hated playing against him when he was on the Chargers ... add him to the rotation, the depth that we have on that defensive line. We've got some guys playing really good football right now, and to have depth at that position is always key in this league."
