Former Wichita State standout Landry Shamet is reportedly staying in New York after agreeing to a four-year, $24 million contract with the Knicks.

According to multiple reports, the deal keeps the 29-year-old guard with the reigning NBA champions after he played a key role during their title-winning season.

Shamet appeared in 51 regular-season games for New York during the 2025-26 campaign, making 12 starts while averaging 9.3 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game. He also emerged as a reliable contributor in the playoffs, averaging 6.0 points while shooting 47.5% from three-point range as the Knicks captured their first NBA championship in more than five decades.

The former Shockers star was selected by the Philadelphia 76ers with the 26th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft. During his eight NBA seasons, Shamet has also played for the Los Angeles Clippers, Brooklyn Nets, Phoenix Suns and Washington Wizards.

The reported agreement gives the Knicks another important piece of their championship core as the franchise prepares to defend its title in the 2026-27 season.
