Quarterfinals wrap up for state high school basketball tournaments in Kansas

The quarterfinals have wrapped up for state high school basketball tournaments in Kansas. A look at Tuesday's results:

Class 5A Boys
*Maize got a home win vs. Bishop Carroll 37-33; the Maize boys advance to the Final 4 with a record of 21-2.

Class 4A Girls
*McPherson won on the road, upsetting undefeated Clay Center 47-41. The McPherson girls advance to the state semifinals with a record of 20-3; Clay Center finishes at 21-1.

*Andale won at home vs. Clearwater 31-20. The Andale girls are into the Final 4 with a record of 18-5.

Class 3A Boys
*Hesston wins at home 55-47 vs. Wichita Trinity; the Hesston boys advance to the state semifinals with a record of 21-1.

Class 2A Girls
*Sterling won at home vs. Trego Community 57-43; the Sterling girls advance to the Final 4 with a record of 23-1.

*Garden Plain won at Moundridge 48-39; the Garden Plain girls go to the state semifinals with a recrd of 17-5.

Class 1A-Division II Boys
*Elyria Christian defeated Waverly 47-41 at Canton-Galva HS; the Elyria Christian boys move into the Final 4 with a record of 15-9.
