Would it make sense for Chiefs to trade for Falcons' Julio Jones?

Arrowhead Pride's Brandon Kiley made the case on 610's The Drive.

Julio Jones' (maybe illegal?) phone call with Shannon Sharpe this morning all but ended his time in Atlanta, and more than a couple win-now teams could use a future Hall of Fame wide receiver on their roster. On Monday afternoon, Arrowhead Pride's Brandon Kiley called into KC's 610 Sports to explain why the Chiefs would be smart to make a move for Jones.

"Let me start with this: Julio Jones is an elite player," Kiley said. "Last year, if you look at what he did - and yes he only played in 9 games and it's a huge question mark and one of the main reasons why he would even be available for less than a first-round pick. But in those 9 games in which he played, he 15 yards per reception, he averaged 11 yards per target, which is a wild number, the best of his entire NFL career. And he caught 75% of the attempts that were thrown his way. He was a fantastic player when healthy last year. The problem is you have to have that disclaimer, 'when healthy.'"

"The reason why you would make a deal for someone like Julio Jones is to be able to have that extra bit of margin for error in the postseason," Kiley added. "He's someone that does that for you, the way Sammy [Watkins] did when healthy in the playoffs. And right now you don't have that guy."
